History of AQHA World Show All-Around Amateurs & Select All-Around Amateurs

Our friends at AQHA have compiled a fun trip down memory lane looking back on all the World Show All-Around Amateurs and Select All-Around Amateurs.

First awarded at the 1983 AQHA World Championship Show, the All-Around Amateur award has been one of the most highly-coveted honors in horse showing. Lu Ann Paul and Melody Zipper (pictured) were the first All-Around Amateurs at that show and, as the Select division was added 20 years later, Teressa Fletcher and Zips Hidden Resource were the first to be named Select All-Around Amateurs in 2003.

AQHA has compiled a fun trip down memory lane of all the All-Around Amateurs and Select All-Around Amateurs since 1983. Many familiar faces have been honored with this prestigious title over the years. Enjoy a look back on some some of the most legendary horses and exhibitors in AQHA history.
