About the Cover

Cool Like Thaat, shown by Bret Parrish and owned by Lisa & Bob Thomaier of Greensboro, Georgia is featured on this month’s cover of GoMag. The three-year-old mare, affectionally known as Scarlett, is by Machine Made and out of Two-Time Congress Champion KM Hot Number (RL Best Of Sudden x Shes Sultry Hot).

“Scarlett is the most special horse I have ever owned and probably ever will own,” Lisa, who has been a client of Bret and Candy Parrish’s for over 20 years, shared with GoHorseShow. “I bought her as a three-month-old weanling from Bret and Candy. We all knew she had the ability to be a truly great one and she has not disappointed.”

The three-year-old mare will be showing at the NSBA World Show in the Three-Year-Old Open & Color Western Pleasure Futurity classes with Bret. Scarlett is a full sister to superstar siblings Nothin But Nett, Yall Hashtag This and Air Ryde, just to name a few.

“Her breeding was the first indication that we had a special horse. This cross has been incredibly successful as noted by the successes of her siblings,” Lisa shared. “For me, she is by far one of the most natural, correct, talented western pleasure show mares there is today. Not often that you get everything in one horse, and I know how blessed I am to own her.”

Cool Like Thaat is just beginning her career as a show horse, and they have high hopes for her in Tulsa. “Lisa has been a great client over the years, and we are excited that she has a great group of prospects coming up,” Bret says.

“Scarlett is great-minded and eye-catching and I believe will be a great show horse. Lisa also has three more prospects including a two-year-old full brother to Fiire N Ice and a full sister to Scarlett. So, we look forward to presenting them in the show arena in the near future,” Bret adds.

Lisa would like to thank Bret, Candy and Cody Parrish for their guidance, her husband Bob for all of his support and all the wonderful friends and great barn family that make it so special and fun. And of course, last but not least, Scarlett for being “a one-in-a-million…she’s definitely my total heart horse.”

Everyone at GoHorseShow wishes the best of luck to this team at this year’s NSBA World and throughout Scarlett’s career.
