Important Deadlines for YES 2023

Your time is now to register for the 2023 Youth Excellence Seminar. Registrations received after June 1 will be charged a $25 late fee and are subject to availability.

AQHYA is hosting the 2023 Youth Excellence Seminar June 29 – July 1, in Bryan-College Station, Texas. Registration is $125 for current AQHYA and AQHA members and $140 for all other youth and adults. Registrations received after June 1 will be charged a $25 late fee and are subject to availability. All registration fees include meals.

Additionally this year, the 2023 the American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup is being held in conjunction with the Youth Excellence Seminar. YWC is an educational, leadership and competition-based event for American Quarter Horse Youth Association members from around the world.

During the 2023 Youth Excellence Seminar, AQHYA members will attend educational seminars, participate in community service activities and elect new AQHYA officers and directors. The officer and director application deadline is May 15 and the priority YES registration deadline is June 1. Don’t miss your chance to make a difference in the American Quarter Horse Youth Association and add the title of AQHYA officer or director to your list of achievements!

AQHYA ASPIRE Award
The AQHYA ASPIRE Award will also be presented at the Youth Excellence Seminar. The ASPIRE Award is a $1,000 award for an AQHYA member who excels in leadership and service. The award assists in developing and improving scholarship, leadership and community interest, and participation of young horsemen. About the Youth World Cup
This international event is hosted every two years by a different country. Throughout this competition, each country will ride for gold medals in cutting, reining, horsemanship, ranch riding, trail, western riding, hunt seat equitation, hunter under saddle and showmanship.

About the Youth Excellence Seminar
The Youth Excellence Seminar welcomes AQHYA members and nonmembers, ages 10 to 18, to experience this three-day, fun-packed event that offers valuable leadership skills, inspiring speakers and AQHYA governance items. AQHYA officer and director elections will also take place during YES.
