“Horses with a foundation…students with a future” is the motto for the UF Sale in the Swamp, and it proves true every year. 2022 will be no exception with a talented and promising group of two-year-old prospects being offered this year.
The 2022 Sale in the Swamp will be held as an online auction this year beginning on Saturday, April 23rd, and closing on Saturday, April 30th. Additionally, there will be an in-person sale preview day on Saturday, April 23rd from 1-4 PM at the UF IFAS Horse Teaching Unit in Gainesville, FL. During the preview day, you can watch all of the horses be ridden, talk to their student trainers, and learn a little more about the UF Equine Program.
This year’s sale features a number of prospects by the young stallion, bred right here at the University of Florida, Best Brew At The Bar. He has had an exemplary show career and has proven to be passing on his talent and mind to his offspring.
In the sale, you will find the yearling prospect, UF Best I Ever Had (pictured main), who is the full brother to Best Brew At The Bar. UF Best I Ever Had, better known as ‘Samuel,’ is the 2021 stud colt by The Best Martini and out of UF’s exceptional mare Prissy Legs X Zippos Old Gold. Don’t miss out on the chance to own this promising young horse who has all the makings to follow in his big brother’s footsteps.
UF Best Be Certain (pictured right), a stud colt by Best Brew At The Bar and out of UF Certain Beauty, is one of the many other pleasure prospects also in the sale.
The UF Sale in the Swamp is a capstone project that brings together years of hard work from many of our students, staff, and donors. It showcases the UF Equine Program’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education to our students and producing top quality horses that are recognized by top trainers, breeders, and the American Quarter Horse Association. All money from the sale of our horses goes directly back to the care of our horses and the education of our students.
