The December Holiday issue of GoMag features multiple World and Congress Champion sire Very Cool. In 2017, the stallion was purchased by Linda Gordon of Fossil Gate Farms from Scott and Kelly Trahan. The 2008 sorrel stallion is by multiple World Champion producer Te Coolest, and out of the great Congress Champion mare Very Sexy.
“Very Cool is such a great breeding horse to me because of the balance and correctness in his foals,” says Fossil Gate Farms Manager Buddy Laney. “They have that flash that jumps out at you. They are easy to find. Very Cool is a two-time World Champion and five-time Congress Champion himself. The 16 hand stallion is HYPP N/N and negative for the five-panel test. He is also a multiple World Champion sire of AQHA, APHA and ApHC offspring.
Very Cool had an incredible AQHA World Show this year. Some of his winners from the show include World Champion Yearling Stallion Very Hot, World Champion Select Amateur 2-Year-Old Mare Kannapali Dolly and World Champion Weanling Stallion FG Ring Of Fire.
Very Cool also had several AQHA Reserve World Champions at the show, including FG McDreamy in Aged Stallions, Dawns Cool Girl in Aged Mares, FG Miss Sassy Pants in Weanling Mares (pictured left), FG My Lady in Yearling Mares, FG Charismatic in 2-Year-Old Mares, Sashay My Way in Amateur Aged Mares and Very Hot in Yearling Stallions.
In addition, he also had an amazing WCHA Futurity. Very Cool received the WCHA High Point Sire Award, which Buddy Laney accepted at the AQHA World Show on behalf of Linda Gordon. The stud also had multiple winners including FG Jewel Of The Nile, FG Rocket Man (pictured right) and FG Ring Of Fire, just to name a few.
Very Cool’s 2022 stud fee is $2,000 with a live foal guarantee. Shipped semen is available and his offspring are eligible for the Breeders Halter Futurity (amateur), Breeders Halter Futurity (open), Best In The West Futurity, East Coast Halter Futurity, APHA Breeders Trust – Platinum, Big Money, WCHA Futurity and Iowa Appaloosa Select Futurity.
