The WSQHA just held their North West Emerald Show September 9-12 in Monroe, Washington. The show had some exciting new changes and additions this year.
“Humbled would be the first word that comes to mind for our first ever combined Quarter/Paint event. While many others have already done this, we wanted the partnership to be the right club and right show,” says Lisa Gardner, WSQHA Executive Show Secretary. “SWWPHC is a regional APHA club and WSQHA is the AQHA affiliate. While WSQHA managed the event, we are forever thankful to the SWWPHC for the volunteers that spent the weekend behind the scenes.”
Two hundred buckles and reserve coats were awarded to Circuit Champions. Friday night, the NW Masters, which was sponsored by Cranbrook Dodge, saw a field of seven talented two-year-olds. Taking home the win was Willubemyvalentine for Jeff Williams with Kristy McCann in the saddle.
On Saturday, WSQHA held their full slate of futurities with their best numbers in years. “The stands were full and both horses and riders were top-notch,” Gardner adds. “Did I mention sunshine? Yes, we had a weekend of sunshine and showed outside.”
