The Region Six Super 6 Show Series and Regional Championship were held July 13-18 at the Eastern States Expo in West Springfield, Massachusetts. It’s one of New England’s Premier Show Facilities with over 600 permanent stalls, three warm-up pens, and a large arena in the coliseum. The event featured six days of great competition, prizes, and fun. The judges for the show were Daren Wright, Dean Bogart, Beckey Schooler, Brent Tincher, and Melissa Sexton.
“The Region 6 Super 6 Show delivers again!” says Select Amateur Heather Lange, who also took candids for us at the show. “There are large class sizes, great prizes and lots of fun activities. It has been a fun week so far for everyone, and I love watching all the winners get their buckles and neck ribbons.”
Amateur Sydney Schmidt, who won the Region 6 Championship in the Amateur Hunter Under Saddle, told us about the show. “It is a fun horse show with large classes and great competition. The weather was hot, but everyone enjoyed the show, especially the aisle hop. Almost every barn in the main aisle chooses a theme, decorates the end of the aisle, and serves food that coincides with that. Some people served barbecue, fair-styled food, desserts, Chinese, and cajun-styled food. Then, everyone is welcome to try all the different food and mingle.”
