Silver Dollar Circuit – Stakes Winners and More VS GoodRide Candids from Las Vegas

Check out the Silver Dollar Circuit stakes winners and more VS GoodRide Candids. Pictured here is the Level 2 Select Showmanship stakes winner, Elizabeth Brown.

Running for 44 years, the Silver Dollar Circuit draws exhibitors from all over the world to compete at the exceptional South Point facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show is currently the largest all-around circuit in the nation (providing no cattle, speed or reining events). It runs through February 26th and is known as “the best horse show vacation of the year,” with over $75,000 in money and prizes.

New for 2020, the Silver Dollar is turning the horse show industry upside down with their creation of “Silver Dollar Stakes Series.”  The show set aside $25,000 in prize money to be designated for the scored classes in Level II Amateur and Level II Amateur Select classes, as well as in the Level I Open scored classes. Each class will have a guaranteed $2,000 added money, as well as an 80% jackpot of the entry fee of $125.

”This is my first time showing at the Silver Dollar Circuit and I have really had a lot of fun” says Carey Nowacek, who won the stakes class in the Level 2 Amateur Showmanship. “The numbers have been good, the show has been run well and finished at a decent hour every day, so we’ve been able to enjoy Vegas. The stakes classes have been very cool and a fun way to win a little money back. My favorite part is, everything being so close. It’s always nice when you can get an extra few minutes of sleep in.”

The show will be moving to its new dates January 15th to the 20th for 2021. The momentum and excitement from the new Silver Series will undoubtedly carry over to the Silver Dollar next year where exhibitors will be able to manage the schedules of Silver Dollar and Sun Circuit more easily with a larger break in between.
