Prestigious APHA National Championship Shows Return in 2020

Competitors, mark your calendars: after their successful debut in 2019, you won’t want to miss the APHA Eastern and Western National Championship Shows in 2020!

Strong turnout and positive reviews at both championships support the addition of prestigious, championship-level events located closer to regional exhibitors. The shows are designed to be exhibitor-friendly, fun and full of prizes; these shows are sure to be Can’t-miss events of the year.

Sponsored by APHA, the National Championships are each four-judge shows offering championship trophies, medallions to first through 10th place, along with additional sponsored prizes, APHA points, and national championship titles. Qualifying is not required.

APHA Western National Championship Show
South Point Arena & Equestrian Center – Las Vegas, Nevada
October 14-17, 2020

  • October 14 – 2-judge Youth/Amateur show sponsored by Silver State Paint Horse Club
  • October 15-17 – 4-judge Open/Amateur/Youth show sponsored by APHA

APHA Eastern National Championship Show
Virginia Horse Center – Lexington, Virginia
October 16-18, 2020

Kathy Avolt and An Equine Production will manage both APHA National Championship Shows; An Equine Production is one of the country’s leading horse show management groups, managing approximately 125,000 AQHA entries annually along with a growing APHA exhibitor base.

The two national championship shows are in addition to APHA’s two world championship shows, which take place annually in Fort Worth, Texas. The Youth World Show is June 22–July 5, 2020, and the APHA Open/Amateur World Show is September 21–October 4, 2020.
