The November AQHA World Show issue of GoMag features first-year amateur, Sabrina Janis with her horse, Cruize, as well as her trainers, Judd and Jennifer Paul of IronGate Quarter Horses.

Janis of Groton, Massachusetts, had great success at this year’s Congress with a Reserve Congress Championship in the Amateur Trail on her other horse, Ever So Sudden (pictured right). She and Cruize finished in fifth place scoring a 233.

Sabrina said that her favorite win to date was last year when she and Cruize won the 15-18 Youth Trail at the Congress. Other notable accomplishments are Top 10 at the AQHYA World Show multiple years and NSBA Reserve World Champion in Youth Trail.

Cruize will be showing in the Amateur Trail and Western Riding with Sabrina, and Judd and Jennifer plan to show him in the Open Performance Geldings, Senior Western Riding, and Senior Trail.

“We have the most incredible bond inside and outside of the show pen,” Sabrina told us. “When we bought him, I don’t think I could have ever anticipated what a blessing in disguise he would be. My life has been all the better for having him in it and being able to call him one of my trustiest show partners of all time.”

Ever since Sabrina, a current sophomore at the University of Tennessee Martin, started working with Judd and Jennifer, she says it’s been great. “Their program is truly one-of-a-kind and their business is run like a well-oiled machine. I think the biggest thing I have learned is to take every experience as something you can learn from. No matter if you win or lose, there is always something you can improve on or strive to be better at in the show pen.”

Janis’ other horses going to the AQHA World Show are Ever So Sudden, Mo Money, and Sloww Motion. Ever So Sudden will be showing in the L2 and L3 Senior Trail, Open Performance Halter Geldings, and L1 Western Riding. Mo Money will be showing in the L1 Trail and Junior Trail. Sloww Motion will be showing in the Pleasure Versatility Challenge. Sabrina wishes everyone the best of luck at this year’s World Show.
