GoHorseShow would like to congratulate Kevin and Amy Smith of Capall Creek Farm on the purchase of World and Congress Champion VS The First Lady (Kennedy) from Kristen Galyean.
VS The First Lady is by Galyean’s stallion, VS Code Red and out of the AQHA World Champion and multiple World Champion producing mare, Cool Lookin Lady. Kennedy won the Congress Masters Two-Year-Old Class last year with Aaron Moses in her showing debut. Kristen started showing her this year winning the Madness, Tom Powers Futurity and NSBA World in the Non-Pro and with Aaron in the Open.
Kennedy shows Tuesday with Aaron in the Open Three-Year-Old Western Pleasure at the Congress.
“She is a very cool mare and I’m so happy she has such a wonderful home,” Kristen says. “I look forward to cheering them on with her and her future babies.
Kristen continues, “Kevin and Amy are great people and I admire how they care for and love their horses. I couldn’t ask for a better family for Kennedy to go to.”
Kevin talked to us at the Congress and was over the moon with the purchase. “It is such a dream for us to own a mare of this caliber and age. We have prided ourselves on the mare power we have at Capall Creek Farm, and she is as good as it gets for our breeding program. She will be an incredible horse for my daughter, Paige.”
“For Kristen to trust us with her also means a lot to us. We look forward to following each other going forward. We would love to one day have the kind of breeding success Kristen has had for years,” Kevin continued.
Smith adds, “It was tough for her to sell The Pineapple Xpress coming off of her win, but we all felt this is the best thing for her future as a competitive youth after so much success the last two years. It’s time to learn a new horse. Paige is a sweet, talented, hard-working kid and has a horse to match those traits. We look forward to their success.”
Capall Creek Farm has built quite a stable of mares now with UR Certainly Invited, The Pineapple Xpress and now, VS The First Lady on the western pleasure side and Withoutyoualbeblue, Red Carpet Rita and Miss Goody Hoo Shoes on the hunter under saddle side, making Capall Creek Farm the place to look for futurity prospects and embryo sales.
