Chances are, if you show Quarter Horses, there is one place you will be during the month of October…at The All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio. The Congress is the place where people come from all over to watch the very best horses compete for a title, catch up with lifelong friends and create memories that will last a lifetime. Known for its long days and even longer nights, the Congress is the show where the top exhibitors, trainers, owners, breeders, vendors and countless other horse enthusiasts return year-after-year in pursuit of the coveted Congress bronze.
The Congress is unlike any other horse show and the October issue of GoMag, for the tenth year in a row, is our biggest of the year and full of the industry’s top exhibitors, trainers, owners, breeders and vendors. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our many loyal advertisers and wish everyone the very best of luck in their pursuit of trophies, titles and memories.

About the Cover
We are thrilled to have Taylor Searles and Hereicomagain (Chloe) on the cover of the highly-anticipated Congress issue of GoMag. In August, this team won back-to-back World Champion titles in the Western Pleasure and Western Riding at the AQHYA World Show. Their dominance continued at the NSBA World Show where they won the Youth 14-18 Western Pleasure and BCF Four-Six Year Old Limited Non Pro Western Pleasure. Not to be outdone, Deanna Searles won the BCF Four-Six Year Old Limited Western Pleasure, BCF Four-Six Year Old Open Western Riding, Junior Western Riding and Reserve Champion in Junior Trail.
“Chloe has been a pleasure to train,” Deanna told us. “She’s very natural and makes our job easy because of her easygoing attitude.”
This gorgeous five-year-old bay mare is owned by the Searles’ long-time customer, Kathy Tobin and is by Good I Will Be and out of the dam, Lookouthereicome. She was bred by Scott Kesney of Chipley, Florida.
“We bought her off a video as a yearling and we have taken her along very slowly,” Jim Searles says. “She’s just a freak lead changer with her front leg. Taylor and Chloe became a team when they were able to spend time together showing in Nebraska and Vegas this summer. She had the highest score in the AQHYA World Show Trail prelims with a 242 but showed her greenness in the finals.”
Taylor, a sophomore at Auburn University, will show Chloe in the 15-18 Youth Western Pleasure, Trail, Western Riding and Horsemanship in Columbus, adds, “She is an honest mare who is super sweet and always has her ears forward and loves her treats.”
The team won their first Congress Championship together last year in the 15-18 Youth Western Pleasure. Taylor is looking to finish strong at the Congress as this year will be her last year to show in the youth division. Deanna will also be showing Chloe in the junior all-around western events.
“This horse has been such a blessing to show and I’m so excited to complete my youth career with her,” Taylor told us. “Thank you to my parents for all the hard work they’ve put into this mare and thank you to Jerry and Kathy Tobin for the opportunity to lease this talented horse.”
