GoHorseshow would like to congratulate Cheryl Mullikin of Beavercreek, Ohio on the purchase of 2018 Congress Champion, Ona Moonlite Bay (Hilda). The two-year-old bay mare is by Only In The Moonlite and out of the great mare, Cant Stop Zipping.
Hilda has done very well in Columbus receiving the Congress Champion Two Year Old Limited Non-Pro Champion Western Pleasure with Liz Long and sixth place in the Coughlin Maiden Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure Futurity (5th Southern Belle Division) with Natasha Humphries from Australia.
“It was amazing to win the Congress with her,” Liz Long told us at the Congress. “The day I won was my Mother’s birthday (she passed away in 2015), so it was super special day. Hilda is unbelievably great-minded and a very natural mover.”
An AQHA World and Congress Champion, Mullikin trains with Wade Black from Kingsbury, Texas and won the AQHA High Point Amateur Western Pleasure in 2016 with KM Call Me Honey and in 2015 with Got My Swag On. At one time she was the owner of the stallion, Extremely Hot Chips
We talked to Cheryl at the Congress and asked her what she likes about the mare. “She has a very even flow to her both ways and has a very good look all the way around. She is nice, easy and slow legged.”
Mullikin and Black will be showing her in the three-year-old events next year. We wish this new team the best of luck.
