Casey Willis and KM Suddenly So Easy Take Home Win in Junior Western Pleasure

KM Suddenly So Easy (Penelope) and Casey Willis took home the win on Monday night in the Junior Western Pleasure. With two firsts and a third, this team secured the win in dynamic fashion.

Casey and Penelope are no strangers to the winner’s circle. In 2015, this duo won the AQHA World Championship in the Two Year Old Western Pleasure and last year, this team took home the win in the Congress Three Year-Old Western Pleasure Futurity.

”Penelope was just great,” owner, Marilyn Masterson told us after the win. “Casey is really partial to her, so they get along really well. They have a special bond and you can see that connection in the show arena.”

Ken Masterson adds, “Penelope is so consistent both directions and she has a sweepy, collected movement which I believe helps set her apart from the rest.”

Willis told us that his favorite thing about this mare, who is by RL Best Of Sudden, is her personality. “She’s at the top of her game, and she is so soft across the ground. She becomes more mature every time she shows in the pen.”

Masterson trainer, Blair Townsend and KM SheKnowsShesHot (Mercedes) ended up tied for reserve in the class but lost the tie-breaker.

Marilyn Masterson and Mercedes are just off their big win at the AQHA Select World in the western pleasure, and this team shows on Wednesday. Last year, they came away with the win in the Select Amateur Western Pleasure after only a few rides. This team is looking to repeat last year’s success.

We wish them the best of luck on Wednesday and congratulate them on a great show.
