Trainer Paul Carruth Passes

“Mr. Paul taught life lessons, through his leadership and training of how to ride horses.”

Paul David Carruth, 67, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born December 30, 1949 in Ecru to Dorothy Simmons Carruth and the late Albert Baily Carruth.

He was a horse trainer and farrier, and he also trained many riders over the years. He worked with 4-H Club and other youth groups.

Funeral services were held, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Hayseed Cowboy Church in Thaxton with Joey Moody officiating. Burial was at Ingomar Cemetery. United Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi Suggs Carruth; his mother, Dorothy Simmons Carruth; a son, Cole Carruth; a step-daughter, Lisa Floyd, all of Ecru; a step-son, Bear Horne of Oxford; a sister, Martha Noland of Houston, TX; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to North Mississippi Winter Classic Horse Show, 112 Fairgrounds Cir., New Albany, MS 38652.
