FEQHA European Championships Coming Soon

Soon it’s time again! Preparations for the 28th European Championship of the American Quarter Horses 2017 are taking place at full speed.

ECQH stands for top-class western riding sport in international comparison and will be held again in Rieden/Kreuth from August 4th to Sunday, August 13, 2017.

“It is the biggest international event in Germany in the Western scene with many sporting highlights and certainly an entertainment factor,” says Michaela Kayser, the show manager of the ECQH, describing the European Championship.

She and Markus Rensing are expecting again more than 400 horse-rider combinations from more than 16 nations, who are striving for the titles and trophies.

The European Championship is organized by the Federation of European Quarter Horse Associations (FEQHA), which was founded in 1997 to promote the Quarter Horse in Europe.

The association sponsors again this year the ‘boxing bonus’. Every presenting teenager receives a discount voucher from FEQHA for a horse box.

The awards are definitely again extensive. In addition to the 31 Circuit Champions and numerous trophies and ribbons, there are over 70 most wanted European Championship titles, each of them is honored with a designer bronze trophy specially created for this event by Ellen Welten.

The ECQH Blogger Team is something completely new this year. Our international bloggers will report about their preparations and live from the show on Facebook and Instagram, thus giving all interested parties a deep and exciting insight into the tournament world.
