Go View the May Fashion Issue of GoMag Online Now

GoHorseShow has always had a passion for fashion, and for the fourth consecutive year, the month of May is Fashion Month at GoHorseShow. Fashion Month celebrates everything that makes people and horses look great, both in and out of the show pen. Throughout the month of May, watch for fashion-forward content and we kick off the month publishing the May Fashion Issue of GoMag. The 2017 Fashion Issue is the biggest May issue in GoMag’s history and we are grateful to the many advertisers who helped make this our best Fashion Issue ever.

This year’s Fashion Issue of GoMag features Susan Juroe and her three-year-old gelding, Kid In A Candy Store. Juroe of Longmont, Colorado is well known in the industry to have an incredible style and presence in the show arena. She is debuting a new custom outfit this show season that was designed by Haley Cooper Designs and constructed by Jacques Apparel with input from her trainer, Tim Gillespie.

“Haley and Jacque have a keen eye for what will complement a horse and rider,” Juroe told us, adding that, “Tim is observant and knows what looks good in the show pen. I trust them all and know they will deliver a creation flawless in design and execution.”

Under the guidance of Tim and Shannon Gillespie, Susan is showing three horses this year. She has two three-year-old red roan full siblings out of her late great mare, Too Sleepy For Candy and by VS Flatline, and her all around horse, First N Line (pictured right). Juroe decided that she needed a new outfit that would work with all three horses.

First N Line has won four Congress Championships while her three-year-olds have just started making their mark. In his first outing, Kid In A Candy Store (Adam) won the Open and Limited Silver Dollar Circuit Three Year Old Pleasure Futurity with Dustin Eickenhorst and was Reserve in the Non Pro.

“Adam was also scouted on Instagram and became a SmartPak catalog cover horse. I’m hoping he can start paying his training bills,” Susan says with a laugh.

This year, Adam’s sibling, Line Up For Candy, aptly nicknamed, Eve, has been circuit champion every time out in the western pleasure.

Tim says that Juroe has always had a knack for breeding great horses. “You can see so much of Too Sleepy For Candy (Adam and Eve’s) mother in them. She stamps them with her looks and incredible mind.”

Juroe and the Gillespies look forward to showing all three at the majors. “My goals are to continue to improve in horsemanship and trail and to ride the three-year-olds in as many futurities as possible,” says Juroe.

We wish Susan and her team the best of luck the rest of the show season!
