Help Wanted: Missouri QH Searching for Executive Director

The Missouri Quarter Horse Association is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill their Executive Director position. This is a home-based position.

Position Summary

The Executive Director position is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all MQHA events. The position will be responsible for the development, sales and implementation/fulfillment of corporate partnerships. Member satisfaction and growth of membership are imperative to success in the position.

Job Duties:

The following are seen as essential duties, but should not be assumed to be all of the duties involved with the position:

Plan and direct all MQHA events and activities including, but not limited to horse shows, annual convention, equine summit and publishing the annual directory.

Collect results from approved shows, tabulate points and post on MQHA’s website.
Communicate freely with the president and board of directors.

Manage organization’s presence on social media and communicate with general membership and public promptly.

Coordinate year-end award program.

Plan and organize regular meetings of the board of directors and prepare event reports to present to the board to gauge the progress of the association in fulfilling its mission.

Experience and Education:

The ideal candidate will have personal experience in sales and event planning. While a background in horse show management would be a plus, it is not a prerequisite for the position.
