Chad Piper and Katie Bossart were married on Saturday, September 17 at the Piper family farm in Sunbury, Ohio. The gorgeous couple looked stunning; Katie in her beautiful champagne colored wedding dress and Chad, decked out in all black and accessorized with his cowboy hat and belt buckle.
The ceremony and celebration took place under a white tent with many family and friends gathered to celebrate the couple’s nuptials. Chad’s parents, Duane and Heidi Piper and Katie’s parents, Lenny and Charlotte Bossart were in attendance.
“She was such a beautiful bride and it was such a beautiful night,” Katie’s sister, Kristen Bossart Scheetz, said. “Ever since Katie was little she has always loved horses. It is so neat to see her life come full circle like this; falling in love and getting married to Chad and having her love of horses intertwine with the love of her life. I am so happy for her and Chad! They are a beautiful couple, inside and out.”
“It was beyond beautiful,” said Ashton Krutulis. “The food was amazing with selections including pork and chicken. The decorations were outstanding and the dance floor was on fire.”
Krutulis adds, “Chad’s father, Dwayne, was his best man. I think my favorite part was Chad’s vows to Katie where he choked up a bit and that was beautiful. He really expressed his love for her. I love them and I’m just so happy for them.”
Darla Lee also mentioned that it was a very touching ceremony. “It rained which is known to be luck and their dog, CJ Piper followed Katie down the aisle. They also had this cute request going on that if you wanted the couple to kiss, you had to sing to them,” Darla told us. “Also, another funny thing is that the Ohio State football game was scheduled to start at 7:30pm but it was postponed until 9:00 due to the weather. Everyone was joking that it was postponed because of the wedding.”
Thank you to Darla Lee who shared this cute video with us of Phil and Phyllis Harris singing to the couple so then Chad and Katie had to kiss. Click here to view the sweet video.
The couple is planning their honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico after Thanksgiving.
We would like to congratulate the wonderful couple on their nuptials and wish them the best!
