The 2016 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show is the pinnacle event for American Quarter Horse exhibitors ages 18 and under around the world. There are more than 2,180 entries from the United States, Australia, Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom who are competing for 35 world championships at this year’s event through August 13th in Oklahoma City. The total number of exhibitors at the show total 761, with an impressive 1,096 horses on the show grounds.
The show is almost finished with several AQHYA World Championships awarded including: Abbi Demel in the horsemanship, Ann Tebow in the ranch riding, Deanna Green in the western riding (third year in a row) and western pleasure, Taylor Searles in the hunter under saddle, Nya Kearns in the hunt seat equitation, Alex Albright in the showmanship, Erin Mask in the trail, plus multiple halter exhibitors.
On Friday, August 12th, exhibitors, friends, and family are invited to attend an exhibitor party from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Jim Norick Arena. Attendees will not only be able to mingle with friends and enjoy a sweet treat but will also have the chance to compete in the B&W Trailer Hitch contest, dummy roping contest, dog race and dog costume contest at the exhibitor party.
