AQHA Exhibitor Abby Floyd Makes Top-10 in Miss USA 2016

Congratulations to Abby Floyd who made it to the Top-10 in Sunday’s Miss USA 2016 Pageant!  She made her state of Arkansas, her parents and her AQHA family very proud!  All while looking absolutely stunning. Go Abby!

June 4, 2016… One of our friends, Abby Floyd (whose birthday is today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBY!), has shown professionalism, beauty, and success both in and outside of the show ring. Abby is the 2012 AQHYA World Champion and 2013 and 2014 AQHYA Reserve World Champion with her halter mare, Candy’s Mirror Image. You’ve read about her for years on GoHorseShow and she was even on the cover of GoMag’s Fashion Issue in 2014.

I will never forget the first time I met Abby at the Youth Excellence Seminar in 2012. She was telling me she was the “hair teasing queen” and would love to do my hair for the dance later that night. (Pictured below) Safe to say we became great friends and she made my hair look fabulous. It was crazy we had not met until that year, but I am so thankful I did.

Abby is the current Miss Arkansas USA and is competing Sunday in Las Vegas to be crowned Miss USA 2016! After the Miss USA 2016 preliminaries on Wednesday, Abby said “tonight was truly a dream come true! Thank you to everyone for the love and support through this journey! Prelims were a success, interviews in the morning and finals on Sunday!”

I have always admired Abby for her kindness and humbleness despite all her beauty and success. Abby said, “some days judges love you and some days they don’t. You can never let the outcome influence the person you are.” To have shown with her in youth was an honor and I wish her the best of luck in the Miss USA competition.

Tune in to watch and support Abby on her journey to becoming Miss USA this Sunday, June 5th at 6:00 central on FOX.  You can vote for her through TONIGHT at 8pm CT. Tune in to watch and support Abby on her journey to becoming Miss USA this Sunday at 6:00 central on FOX!
