Hosted by the Missouri Quarter Horse Association, the Show Me Equine Summit offers a variety of learning opportunities.

“The Show Me Equine Summit will be a great weekend for the horse people in Missouri to get together, learn and grow our passion,” said Joe Eddy, MQHA president. “It’s going to be a really exciting and fun event.”

Clinics throughout the weekend include cutting, ranch riding, reining, western pleasure, western riding, dressage, trail, barrel racing and hunter/jumper. Clinicians are professional trainers, AQHA world champions renowned in their disciplines.

On Friday afternoon, Dr. John Pipkin, West Texas A&M University equine program director and professor of animal science, will be conducting a clinic for 4-H and FFA members on horse judging. Dr. Pipkin directs West Texas A&M’s equine industry program, where he has coached students to more than 50 national or world champion or reserve champion team or individual titles.
