Gordyville’s “Turkey Run” AQHA show took place November 27th through the 29th in Gifford, Illinois. The fun, family-oriented show featured a Ride the Buck class and exhibitors’ party. The judges for the show included Steve Meadows, Jeff Allen, Jerry Erickson, Michele Pearson, and special event judge, Dan Williams.
Youth exhibitor, Emma Garcia and Lovin this Tail won the Novice Youth Hunter Under Saddle and Youth Hunter Under Saddle on Friday. Her trainer, Lynda Danielson also did well in the Junior Hunter Under Saddle. Emma’s mother, Robyn Garcia told us, “The Turkey Run had a good turn out this year, and the youth classes were fuller than they have been in past years.”
“It’s close to home for me,” says longtime Gordyville supporter and exhibitor, Tanna Fruhling Suits. “It is all under one roof with an excellent staff. The class sizes were good, especially the Novice Amateur Western Pleasure which had 22. There was a ride a buck class and a exhibitor party Saturday night. The class package deal which they offered for $150 was awesome for the exhibitors showing in the all around events.”
“We love showing and being a vendor at Gordyville!” says Keri Collins, who runs the clothing consignment shop, Closet Space. “The Gordyville Turkey Run was the perfect show to celebrate Closet Space’s five year anniversary. Thank you to all of our amazing customers and clients who celebrated with us Saturday. The Hannagan ladies and Gordyville staff are wonderful and always put on a great show.”
