Prince Farm Congratulates Congress Youth Grand Champions

Prince Farm, LLC of Palmetto, Florida kindly sponsored the Youth Halter Grand Champion classes at this year’s Congress. The Youth Grand Champion Gelding was RPL My Te Cheerful (Henry) with Monica Hamm and the Youth Grand Champion Mare was Kaylee Hamm with Guns N Lace (Lacey).

“Chester and I were proud to sponsor the Grand Champion Youth classes at the Congress,” Anne Prince told us. “These classes recognize the best of the best among the youth halter horses in our industry. It was a joy to watch all of the children do such an outstanding job presenting their horses in the line ups. We congratulate all of those winners from all the classes. Job well done!”

Monica Hamm shared her thoughts about winning the Grand Champion Gelding at the show. “It was an incredible moment!” Monica told us. “The special thing about Henry is no matter how many times I show him, it just gets better and better. He continues to show and love his job just as much as any young horse, even at 11 years old.”

Monica adds, “This year was very rewarding because it was the first time that any horse has gone Grand Champion under Youth, Amateur, and Open in Halter. My family has been wanting to achieve this with him for as long as I can remember. We share a very special bond that has its crazy moments, but he always has my back and we truly depend on each other to show.”

BRY_2985-PRINCE FARMS CDMonica’s younger sister, Kaylee, also expressed her excitement for winning the Grand Champion Mare at the show. “Winning with my mare, Guns N Lace, felt amazing,” Kaylee told us (pictured right). “Winning with Lacey meant everything to me, because she is the sweetest horse. After I won with her, I went in her stall when she was laying down, and she just laid her head on my chest. She is never in a bad mood and loves showing.”

Kaylee continues, “When Lacey and I are in the show arena, she knows when to show and puts her ears up. I was not expecting for my number and name to be called as Grand Champion Mare. I thought my sister, Monica Hamm, was going to win with her horse, Miss Kittie, because she has won against me before. I couldn’t have been happier when I was called Grand Champion Mare.”

GoHorseShow would like to thank Chester and Anne Prince of Prince Farm, LLC for sponsoring these classes at the Congress, as we know the youth are our future!
