PF Candids and Rundown from Nebraska Silver Classic

The newly revamped Nebraska Silver Classic was recently held September 18-20, 2015 at the Lancaster Event Center located in Lincoln, Nebraska. Under new management, the facility has been undergoing many new and exciting changes. According to trainer Danielle Burnight, the entries doubled from last year with over 5000 entries. Some of the judges for the show included Marvin and Sue Kapushion, Jon Barry and Judd Paul.

“Our goal was to ‘Put the Silver back in the Silver Classic’, and we did exactly that!” says Kerry Pavel, exhibitor and member of the Silver Classic Futurity Committee. “There were numerous money classes that catered to all levels/disciplines, and it was so great to see both local and out of state exhibitors competing for it. We have already had people offer to sponsor more futurity classes for next year and the Silver Classic committee will be getting together soon to discuss extending the show to allow for that. Overall, the show was a huge success and a lot of fun. I think it’s safe to say that the Nebraska Silver Classic is back and well on its way to again becoming one of the top futurities in the Midwest.”

This year, over $20,000 was offered in cash and prizes. In addition to the cash, saddles, silver cup trophies, and random prize drawings were awarded as well.
