“As a first time attendee of the Sun & Surf Circuit, I was not disappointed in the quality of competition that was presented at the show,” says Chelsea Carlson of Junction City, Oregon. “The classes were all of good sized giving exhibitors the chance to earn multiple points in the rail and pattern classes, with the Trail seeming to be the deepest event in numbers and steep competition.”
The sun was missing at the beginning of the show and unusual amounts of rain caused changes to the show schedule. However, the show staff, led by Clay MacLeod and exhibitors hunkered down and made the best of the situation. The bad weather passed over as quick as it came in though and the reliable Del Mar, California sun made its way back out.
“Overall, it was a very fun show that not only had a great atmosphere on the grounds, but also in the Southern California area for those of us who were from out of town,” Carlson says. “There was lots to do and see for exhibitors who planned a showcation!”
