A few rainy days didn’t stop the exhibitors at the 2015 Corporate Challenge from having fun. Again, the Corporate Challenge was held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul, MN during the Memorial Day holiday, May 20-25. Exhibitors hailed primarily from the north including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, North Dakota, and Colorado.
The first two days started out with multiple AQHA specialty classes that included trail, western pleasure, halter and showmanship. The show resumed with the normal schedule on Friday, starting with the halter and over fences classes. With the new improvements to the fairgrounds, it gave exhibitors a lot more room to ride and practice while staying out of the rain.
Even though numbers were not as high as the past few years, the show still had a respectable turn out with 25 in the Level 1 Amateur Horsemanship and 27 in the Amateur Performance Geldings. Each exhibitor had the opportunity to win their choice of a leather head stall, lead rope, or cooler bag for circuit championships while cowhide duffel bags were awarded for all-around titles.
The judges for the show included Lita Hottel, Tom Crowley, Nancy Sue Ryan, Gretchen Mathes, Larry Hansch, Shaun Gloude, Tim Finkenbinder, and Jerry Erickson.
