The Virginia Classic was held this past weekend in Lexington, Virginia with great weather and prizes. There were several three and four point classes. The top pleasure trainers come to compete for some huge prize money especially with the ever popular $50,000 added Hylton Maiden Three and Over Class that is held during the show,
The judges for the show included Lynda Danielson, Kelly McDowall, Suzy Jeane, Karen Watters, and Mike and Charlene Carter. Larry Little and Will Knabenshue also came in to judge the Maiden class.
“Overall it was a great show,” Meg DePalma-Whelan told GoHorseShow. “The weather was perfect for the Saturday/Sunday portion which brought in several local spectators. The western pleasure and hunter under saddle classes were very competitive. Everyone that showed up brought their ‘A’ game.”
Amateur Sarah Rosciti from Rhode Island agreed, “It was a nice show, with lots of tough competition from across the country.”
