PF Candids and Rundown from 2015 Texas Amateur Show in Waco, Texas

The Texas Amateur Quarter Horse Show held in Waco, Texas celebrated its 30 year anniversary in 2015 with great sized classes and fun events for everyone. On certain nights, exhibitors were treated with dinner from sponsors. As for the weather, it was a mixture of both sun and rain. However, the Texas humidity didn’t stop anyone from having a good show.

The judges for the show included Steve Meadows, VA, Pierre Briere, NJ, Doug Huls, AZ, Clint Fullerton, MO, Scott Neuman, MT, Kelly Boles Chapman, MI. The Special Event Judges were Terry Thompson, TX and Dolly Chayer, OK.

“This is my third year to show at the Texas Amateur Show in Waco, and I can’t say enough good things about it!” says Debby Brehm, who finished qualifying for the Select World in the Amateur Performance Mares and Western Pleasure with her new horse, A Certain Luxury. “Campbell Show Horses had a dessert party to celebrate the amateur show’s 30th birthday.”

Brehm adds, “The weather hasn’t been too bad but once you are inside it really doesn’t matter because all stalls, practice pens, and arenas are connected so you never need to go outside. My daughter, Morgan and I had a great time at this Waco show and encourage everyone to check it out next year.”
