The American Quarter Horse Association recognizes hardworking individuals and their American Quarter Horses at the end of each year through the Association’s high-point awards. Due to the introduction of AQHA leveling in 2014, the Association now is able to recognize more individuals and horses for their accomplishments in the show arena. New this year, AQHA is recognizing exhibitors in the Rookie, Level 1 and Level 2 divisions in addition to the Level 3 division.
AQHA annually recognizes the top point earners in each division of every AQHA event. Horses are recognized in the open division, while youth and amateurs competing with any one horse are recognized in their respective divisions.
“We are thrilled to be able to recognize more individuals this year in the year-end standings, thanks to the new AQHA levels, and give exhibitors the recognition they deserve,” said AQHA Chief Show Officer Pete Kyle. “Exhibitors are the driving force in the show industry, and with the increase in individuals showing their American Quarter Horses, the market is headed in a strong direction.”
