Hi everyone! My name is Abby Floyd from Searcy, Arkansas. I’m here in Oklahoma City with my halter horse, Candys Mirror Image and my pleasure horse, Hot And Dreamy. This is my third World Show with Candy, who I consider to be my lucky horse since we have been World and Reserve World Champions. This is Dreamy and my first World Show together and we’ve definitely worked harder than we ever have to prepare. Thanks to my trainers Monte and Anna Horn and Jeff Honey for making my horses and I World Show ready. Good luck to all the contestants, I wish you all the best! Check out my pictures of the day from the first day of the show.
Day 7 Picture–Thursday, August 7, 2014
The Youth World was full of obstacles to overcome but oh so much fun too! Although Dreamy, my pleasure horse, got injured and we were unable to show, I’m thankful that Equine Sports Medicine was there to take care of her. The youth associations did an incredible job decorating the jeans and boots for the competition. And all the competitors showed like true champions and represented AQHA so well, Congrats to all on a great show, good luck this show season, and see you all next year right here in Oklahoma City!
Day 6 Picture–Wednesday, August 6, 2014
I have to say that Trent has to be the cutest little cowboy around the shows. He is the son of trainer Mark Dunham and his wife, Clare, and he always runs up to me and gives me a big hug every time he sees me!
Day 5 Picture–Tuesday, August 5, 2014
Congrats to Billie Henard on back-to-back wins on Twothousand Model Te in the Jumping and Equitation Over Fences! Being from Arkansas, I’m happy to see a fellow southern girl and neighbor from Tennessee rocking it out!
Day 4 Picture–Monday, August 4, 2014
There isn’t a better way to end a long day at the horse show than with friends and the best horse trainer, Jeff Honey!
Day 3 Picture–Sunday, August 3, 2014
Today was such an incredible day. My once in a lifetime horse, Candys Mirror Image, and I became two-time AQHA Reserve World Champions. Thanks to my trainers, Monte and Anna Horn. Candy is obviously not thrilled that I am taking her picture since she is sticking her tongue out!
Day 2 Picture–Saturday, August 2, 2014
Just how far away do our AQHA Youth travel for the World Championship show? Well, I met Samuel Jed from Southcombe, New Zealand! He’s currently interning in Arkansas with Mark Dunham with the ambitions to become a horse trainer! Best of luck, “Jed”!
Day 1 Picture–Friday, August 1, 2014
Due to a leak in the coliseum, unfortunately, there were not any classes held in there today and also probably not tomorrow.
