The Iowa 7 Day Run is wrapping up in Des Moines, Iowa with huge classes. Senior Trail had 48 entries while the Novice Amateur Western Pleasure was just as impressive with 47 shown. The show has six AQHA approved split/combined shows with great judges including: Chris Baldwin, Dean Bogart, Rick Christy, Casey Devitt, Jim Dudley, Suzy Jeane, Stephanie Lynn, Rob Meneely, Mark Sheridan, Russ Smith, Lance Treptow and Karen Watters.
“The class numbers are great,” says Amateur Katie Grossnickle, who has amassed over 100 points with her two horses at the show. “The people are all so friendly. The weather has been wonderful, sunny and hot with only a little rain. There have been some long days but the schedule runs very smoothly. There are daily give aways and great awards!”
Amateur Hayley Saul adds, “It’s always fun to catch up with friends from all over that we don’t get to see very often. The World Pork Expo and pig show running at the same time can be a pain when it comes to parking, but it adds a whole other level of entertainment and photo opportunities,” Hayley says and laughs.
Thanks to Katie Grossnickle, Hayley Saul, Lia Ploog, TR Potts and Kari Grefsrud for the great candids from the show.
