The AQHA/NSBA Bavarian Championship took place last week in Kreuth, Germany. It featured four AQHA shows and NSBA classes. The weather was amazing, 90 to 95 degrees and sunny every day.
“The size of classes was very good–there were trail and horsemanship classes with up to 40 competitors, and they all did an amazing job despite the heat in the outdoor pen. The quality of horses increases every year with strong trail, western riding and pleasure classes,” says Cathrin Gutmann of Austria. “Saturday was the hottest day of all, and the ice cream booth was sold out in only a few hours.”
Trainer Jadasa Jablonowski adds, “The Bavarian Championship is always a really nice show and very organized as always.”
In addition, this show was the second show to qualify for the “Golden Series” finals. The Golden Series is a program for western pleasure, trail, showmanship and western riding with two go-rounds, one at the show in April, one in June, and the finals at the NSBA European Championship Show in July. In the finals, there’s $20,000 of winnings in every event- the top ten riders of the two go-rounds ride in the finals in July.
