Professional Horses Services, LLC is excited about the results of the May Online Auction, which closed on the evening of May 21st. Mike Jennings cites, “This sale set several new records for the online auctions we have done since December 2012. Our new high seller brought $30,100. We registered 276 bidders and had 71,855 page views for the online catalog by the end of bidding.”
The high seller, Lot 13, Ellusive Clue, a three year-old daughter of Mr Elusive, bred to JMK Bocephus, sold for $30,100 from the JMK Quarter Horses consignment to Virginia Webber in Kansas. The second high seller was Lot 51, Ill Be Willy Good (pictured below left), a two year-old daughter of Winnies Willy that sold for $18,000 from Claire Binkowski to Melissa Herr in Virginia and will train with Drew Van Hook. The third highest seller was $13,500 for Lot 61, Shesa Shade Wild, a four year-old mare by Obviously Wild, consigned by Jennifer Sheriff and sold to Darlene Cox in Florida and will be under the guidance of Kory Merrill.
Stephanie Jennings notes, “We were pleased to feature the first phase of the Partial Dispersal of JMK Quarter Horses, the AQHA Leading Breeder of Halter ROM horses. James Kifer is always a joy to work with and offered a very nice group of horses to buyers.”
All 21 of the horses consigned by JMK sold to new owners. The group sold for a total of $107,700 for an average of $5,128. According to Jennings, Mr. Kifer is serious about reducing the number of horses in his program in order to spend more time with his family and the LAR Mana Children’s Home in Brazil, which he sponsors. JMK Quarter Horses will offer another group of top halter horses in the June online auction.
The Pro Horse Services Online auctions have seen continued growth since late 2012. Their most recent three auctions had an average of 59,000 page views and 238 registered bidders. The first three monthly auctions in 2013 recorded an average of 26,000 page views with an average of 121 bidders.
This summer they have planned two special auctions, in addition to their monthly online auctions, the Broodmare Affaire and a Halter Prospect Sale, which will be held in July.
The BROODMARE AFFAIRE is designed as an online market for performance and halter mares with show records, produce records or championship pedigrees. They did a broodmare auction last year in July for halter mares. The high seller was $18,000 and another sold for $15,000.
“We had inquiries from people wanting to sell performance mares so we decided to open it up this year,” Mike Jennings states. “Since we are going to provide a catalog-style pedigree by djj pedigrees, buyers will get the same information they would get in the Congress Super Sale catalog.”
The bidding will open on July 21 and close on July 23. It is best to enter by June 10 for the pedigree research to be done and in order for the mares to receive plenty of promotion.
The HALTER PROSPECT SALE is an online marketplace for weanling, yearling or two year-old halter horses. July is a good time to offer, or shop for, prospects that can show in the fall futurities. The bidding will open on July 21 and close on July 23.
Mike Jennings adds, “We are always happy to answer questions or help our customers. Our more than 40 years experience with selling show quality horses allows us to help people get the most out of their auction experience.”
