We are pleased to unveil GoMag’s 2014 Fashion Issue which features a multitude of businesses that help keep our industry leaders fashionable, both in and out of the show pen. Whether you need a custom made outfit, something off the rack, or are looking for consignment, we have it all!
“Modeling with Dreamy was interesting to say the least because she is quite the diva with lots of personality,” Abby said. “I was so excited to get the opportunity to do a photo shoot with Mallory Beinborn. Going in that morning, I had my game face on but Dreamy’s only intentions were to eat grass and try to play with the horses in the pasture. We had to constantly work to get her head up and ears forward! Then all of a sudden, she decided to turn the lights on and be a poser. It was a lot of fun and we captured so many incredible photos!”

About The Cover
“Fashion is everything,” says AQHYA World Champion, Abby Floyd. Floyd’s obsession with fashion makes her the perfect fit for the cover of GoMag’s 2014 Fashion Issue. “Fashion shows individuality and is a way for people to express their personality,” says the 17 year-old model and former Miss Arkansas Teen USA.
“Being Miss Arkansas Teen USA really compares to showing horses,” Abby says. “In both competitions, you are being judged next to others and it’s completely subjective. Throughout my reign, I learned that nothing in life is easy. But hard work will always pay off and in the end, you always come out a better person.”
With her sights set on the AQHA Youth World Show, Abby will show Hot And Dreamy (Blazing Hot x Lopins Dream) in Western Pleasure and Candys Mirror Image (Dominates Image x Casino Candy) in 3 year-old Mares. In 2013, Dreamy and Floyd were Top-15 at the Congress in the Western Pleasure 15-18 and she has been World Champion and Reserve World Champion the last two years with Candy. “We are coming back to Oklahoma City hoping for another gold globe and I definitely believe we can. She is such a special horse and better than ever!”
Floyd recently moved from her hometown of Searcy, Arkansas to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her dreams of being a model. She has recently worked for Saks 5th Avenue, Dillard’s and Drysdale’s Western Wear and her ads have been featured in Seventeen magazine. She has also appeared on the hit TV show, Nashville. “Being a model is not as easy as it looks,” Floyd says. “Yes, it is fun, but it takes a lot of hard work. But again, hard work pays off and it is always worth it.”
Abby would like to wish her competitors the best of luck at the AQHYA World Show and would like to thank her trainers, Jeff Honey and Monte and Anna Horn.
