PF Candids and Rundown from 2014 Virginia Classic

The Virginia Classic just wrapped up with amazing prizes and steep competition in a variety of different events. The show was held April 10 through the 13th at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia. The judges for the show were Tim Abler, Clint Fullerton, Jennifer Thompson, Jennifer Leckey and Bruce Walquist.

The show also hosted the second annual Harris Versatility Challenge where horse and rider teams competed in Trail, Western Riding and Western Pleasure to accumulate points to win a Harris Leather & Silverworks show saddle. Whitney Lagace and Hot Rockin Potential proved up to the challenge, taking home the top prize.

Also, NSBA Quarter Million Dollar Club Rider Randy Wilson rode Certainly On Sundi to win the Hylton Maiden $50,000 Three and Over Western Pleasure at the 2014 Virginia Classic Quarter Horse Show on April 12. Owner Bryon Parsons received a $31,000 check as well as a free breeding to Invitation To Flash, 2008 AQHA Honor Roll High Point Green Western Pleasure Horse and same year AQHA World Champion Performance Halter Stallion.

In stiff competition among 20 entries in the class, second and third place finishes resulted in a tie going to Betting Ona Krymsun, shown by Jeff Cochran for Rebecca Bailey and Mr Sherlock Holmes, ridden by Brian Baker for Mary Webre. The two each received a check for $9,887.50. Rusty Green piloted Just Roll With It to a $6,000 check for fourth place for Jenny VanEaton.

Another tie resulted for fifth and sixth place, with $4,506.25 going to Suddenly Extreme, shown by Andy Cochran for Nick Weiss, and Getting Pretty, ridden by Taft Dickerson for Donnie Dickerson.
