The Southern Ohio Quarter Horse Association’s Madness in March is a wrap. Despite a snow storm that hit the show, this year’s event attracted huge numbers, with more than 600 stalls sold. The judges were Andrea Simons, Jill Newcomb, Dean Bogart, Marty Jo Hays, Curtis Reynolds, Kendra Weis and Jonathan Meilleur.
“It was a great show,” says trainer, Amanda Ringer, who won the Limited Three Year-Old Novice Horse Class with KM Best N Shiek for Masterson Farms. “I loved all the little extras that they did for door prizes. We are already looking forward to next year especially since they will be expanding the facility and will all be connected next year. I believe the show will only grow more. The whole SOQHA team should be proud.”
In total, the Madness In March offered $6,500 in added money for NSBA futurity events. The show offered a non-NSBA approved Three Year Old and Older Novice Horse Western Pleasure Slot Class that paid $15,000 to the winner. The slot class paid out a total of $40,500 to six Open placings, two Maiden and two Limited placings. GoHorseShow.com donated 20 full page GoMag certificates to lucky winners during the show.
