Two-time AQHA World Champion, Lets Shake Em Up (Riley) has been purchased by the Martz Family of Ohio. The 2008 bay gelding is by Innovation Only and out of JR Fancy Can Zip.
“My family and I are very excited about the addition of Lets Shake Em Up,” says Amateur Chelsea Martz. “My younger sister, Paulina, and I have really missed showing trail. When our trainers, Judd and Jennifer Paul, heard that Riley was for sale, they thought he would be exactly what we were looking for. After a quick trip to Colorado to see Riley at Chad and Barbie Evans’, we knew he would be the perfect fit for our family.”
In 2014, Paulina and Chelsea will show him in the trail and performance halter geldings. Chelsea also looks forward to adding the showmanship and horsemanship to his repertoire. As far as the open classes, Jennifer Paul will show Riley in Senior Trail and Judd will show him in the western riding.
“We are so grateful to Betty Watt and Chad and Barbie Evans for the opportunity to own such a wonderful gelding,” Chelsea states. “2014 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the Martz Family.”
Riley was the 2013 Select World Champion Amateur and AQHA World Champion Performance Halter Geldings with owner, Betty Watt of Elbert, Colorado. He has amassed over 400 points in the performance halter, trail, western pleasure, and western riding.
“Riley is such a special horse–not only is he beautiful, but he is a talented athlete. He is a great mover and one of the great ones in the trail. He is super careful and has a style that is all his own,” says former trainer, Chad Evans of Colorado. “Congratulations to the Martz family, and I know they will have great success with him under the expert guidance of Judd and Jennifer Paul.”
