The Florida Gold Coast Circuit finished up Tuesday just in time for New Year’s Eve parties. With gorgeous weather in the 70s to 80s, the show started off great with Tim Kimura, Missy Clark, and Scott Hofstetter clinics. Just in time for the show, The Bob Thomas Equestrian Center installed brand new, top of the line footing in the Grand Prix Ring. The installation of the new ESI International Competition All Weather Footing along with a new drainage system allowed the ring to be used rain or shine.
According to amateur Lindsey Gillette, exhibitors have been enjoying beautiful weather. Despite a few rain storms, the sun has been out and shining, keeping riders’ coats hung up in their trailers. What better way to spend New Years Day then by doing what you love and start chasing those 2014 points.
There is much more to come this week as the Gulf Coast Circuit kicks off the new year. The schedule is packed and includes multiple NSBA stakes classes including a $1000 Green Trail stakes, 3 Year-Old Open Hunter Under Saddle and much more–Cheers to 2014!
“We love having this show in our home town. Both my sister Vanessa and I are ecstatic to kick of the new year with our revamped show string,” says Lindsey Gillette who will be making her debut with her new all-around horse, Coupe Dueville. “I also can’t wait to see what is in store for my horse, One Hot Katwoman in the hunt seat pen this year. After finishing fifth at the Congress in the Youth 14-18 Hunter Under Saddle (with a two year-old), my sister, Vanessa and her horse, Daphne are looking forward to showing at the Youth World in Hunter Under Saddle and Equitation. Our Pinetree family is complete when Vanessa is able to take a break from competing on the horsemanship team at UGA and throw on those breeches again!”
