October 2, 2013, Sheffield, Iowa – Two men and two horses will be inducted into the Inaugural class of the World Conformation Horse Hall of Fame in 2013.
“We are pleased to share the names of the inductees,” said Tim Finkenbinder World Conformation Horse Association President. “Much consideration was given by our selection committee. These men and these horses have served the equine industry in many different ways on their way to making history.”
The men joining the Hall of Fame are Jerry Wells, Purcell, Oklahoma, and Greg Whalen, Clements, California.
The horses are 1961 stallion, Two Eyed Jack, and 1968 stallion, Impressive.
The World Conformation Horse Hall of Fame is the repository of the conformation segment history of the equine industry. Primarily representing the stock horse breeds, inclusion in the Hall of Fame is the highest honor the World Conformation Horse Association can bestow. The new members of the WCHA Hall of Fame will be inducted on Friday November 22, 2013 in conjunction with the WCHA Banquet & Fundraiser. This event is held during the AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
“We congratulate these new members of the Hall of Fame and thank them for their work in improving our Industry,” Finkenbinder said.
