At this year’s Congress, in addition to Anne and PF Premo’s Amateur Grand Champion Stallion
win, Prince Farm came away with two more Congress championships, and 11 reserve
Congress championships. All horses shown by Prince Farm at this year’s Congress
finished in the Top 10 in both open and amateur classes.
Dewey Smith, their resident halter trainer, is one of the primary reasons the Princes have had consistent success over the years. Smith has accumulated over 121 World or Reserve World Championships in Quarter, Paint, Palomino, Pinto and Buckskins. Dewey came to work for Prince Farm LLC in 2010 and is excited about their 2014 stallion lineup.
“Our breeding program is really strong with these two young up-and-coming halter stallions,” Smith states. “Chromed Up had three babies show at the Congress and all three were in the top ten. 2014 will be the first breeding season for PF Premo, and this bloodline has shown to have spectacular results in the show pen. I was Congress Grand Champion with his full brother last year. I look forward to seeing his first foal crop in 2015.”
Smith adds,”Anne and Chester are the best people in the industry to work for–everything is 100 percent above board when it comes to dealing with them. They make it easy for me because they only expect me to show the best and they are always fair and honest.”
PF Premo, a 2011 chestnut stallion, is by the Prince’s late multiple World and Congress Champion halter sire, MH Supremo and out of Ima Credible Miss by Wincredible. Among his many awards, PF Premo was the 2012 Amateur Yearling Stallion World Champion and he was also Reserve in Open Yearling Stallions at the AQHA World Show. Last October, he had claimed both the 2012 Amateur and Open Yearling Stallion Congress titles. 2013 makes for his first Congress Grand Champion win.
His stud fee for 2014 is $2,000, and his foals are eligible for the AQHA Incentive Fund.
Chromed Up is a 2011 Reserve World Champion Amateur 3-Yr-Old Stallion, Reserve QH Congress Champion Open 3-Yr-Old Stallion, Reserve QH Congress Champion Amateur 3-Yr-Old Stallion, and winner of 2011 AQHA Amateur Stallion Honor Roll.
Chromed Up’s 2014 Stud Fee is $1,500. His foals are also eligible for: AQHA Incentive Fund, The Breeders Open Futurity, WCHA Futurity, APHA Breeders Trust, and The Big Money Futurity.
