Bobby Booth Passes Away at 59

Read his Obituary here courtesy of  ForeverMissed

Bobby Booth went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 19, 2013. A beloved husband, father, and brother, Bobby embodied selflessness and generosity. He was a bright light that illuminated the best in each of us.

Bobby was a devoted father to his two children who are both successful professionals. Son Stuart is a physician in Birmingham, Alabama, and daughter Peyton followed her father into architecture. Step-son Clint is a sophomore studying business at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

A doting husband, Bobby supported his wife Terrie’s desire to compete nationally with the American Quarter Horse Association, and himself became an admirer of equestrian sports. A principal at HKS architects in Dallas, Bobby was youngest ever to be elevated to firm partner.

Ever punctual, Bobby lived up to his middle name, graduating a year early from Texas Tech’s five-year architecture program. His entire professional career was spent with HKS, and he was instrumental in building the company into the internationally recognized firm it is today. Bobby served as principal-in-charge of projects in more than 104 cities and 16 countries.

Bobby’s philanthropy and character were well known throughout our community. He and Terrie were devoted to many causes, but were most passionate about their work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.

In 2008, Bobby and Terrie served as Honorary Chairs for the annual Wish Night gala and fundraiser, which raised more than $1,021,000 and allowing the foundation to grant 170 wishes that year.
