Five years ago, GoHorseShow.com was launched with the goal
of filling a huge need in our horse show world by providing credible, timely
and entertaining news and information. On the same date, we also published the
very first issue of the digital magazine, GoMag and the first digital
magazine of its kind in our industry was born.
It was also five years ago we proclaimed ourselves the
“Future of Equine Advertising” and wow, how have times changed. The future is definitely here! Today, thanks to
our much-appreciated advertisers, GoMag has firmly established itself as the
online industry leader and the horse show world has fully embraced digital
advertising as a cost-effective, powerful and far-reaching tool that is here to stay. GoMag
advertisers recognize the incredible value and reach of digital advertising and
have grown to know and love our “The customer is always right” style of doing
business.
We would like to take this opportunity thank each and every
one of our advertisers and readers – from those in the June 2013 issue, and dating
all the way back to our first issue in June 2008. It has been an incredible five years and we look forward to
many years to come!

About The Cover
Cole Gower is living the horse show dream. “My parents gave me the option of taking a year off to pursue my dream of horse showing before entering a post secondary college. I have been able to show my horses all over this beautiful country and could not ask for more,” says the 18 year-old from Alberta, Canada.
Gower, who is in his final year of youth, credits much of his success to his trainers, Bruce Vickery and assistant, Keith Boutet. “I owe everything to these two horsemen. Bruce has taken me from a novice rider to a competitive youth. He is patient, understanding and gives me the knowledge and confidence I need to compete at this level. Keith Boutet is always there for me as well. He has the skill level to step in and help with anything I need. These two individuals make a wonderful team.”
Gower keeps busy at the shows competing with three horses. “I carry the most special bond with Wicked Krymsun as he was my first show horse. That bond has carried us through several shows. He is fun to show and I know him really well. We show together in trail.
Design By Leaguer is a multiple AQHA World Champion in trail and is twenty years young this year. I am lucky enough to borrow him from my brother Kade to show in my final youth year. Bevis is an amazing horse with tons of personality.
She Made It Happen is my All-Around horse that I show in trail, showmanship and horsemanship. She is a true diva but always gives you 110 percent. She has an impressive resume as well being the 2012 Reserve World Champion in Senior Trail and third in 2011.”
All three horses have a very special place in Gower’s life. “They have given me so many great rides and we have an incredible time together. They are like an extended part of the Gower family.”
Gower is appreciative of his friends and family who have gotten him to this point in his showing career. “I would like to give a HUGE thank you to the Vickery
Performance Horse barn. You all make this experience so much fun with the
laughs, smiles and words of encouragement. To Bruce and Keith –
thank you just doesn’t seem enough, but from the bottom of my heart – thank
you! To my parents, thanks for allowing me to follow my dreams and always
being there to help out and for being my biggest fans from the beginning. To my
horses Vic, Bevis, Skyler, I could not ask for better partners in this journey!”
