The 2013 Adequan Select World Championship Show qualifying deadline has been extended through Sunday, June 16. The deadline was previously set for Friday, May 31. In the transitional period to the launch of the new AQHA database, delays occurred in the processing of 2013 show results.
“The team at AQHA has been making great progress processing show results since reverting back to the previous computing system. That said, there remains a backlog of shows, and we understand that Select exhibitors have not been able to verify points for many shows conducted so far this year. Because of these unique circumstances, the AQHA Executive Committee approved extending the qualifying period for this year’s Adequan Select World by two weekends, ending the period June 16,” said Tom Persechino, AQHA executive director of competition and breed integrity. “With the 250 shows scheduled in those additional two weeks, the extension should give Select exhibitors ample time to ensure they are qualified.”
Points earned from June 1-16 will count for qualification to both the 2013 and 2014 Adequan Select World Shows.
The deadline for entries for this year’s show is August 1 to give the Association time to process entries and produce the program. Select exhibitors are strongly encouraged to verify their qualifications online at www.aqha.com/selectworld, which is being updated weekly as shows are being completed. AQHA will start sending invitations to Select exhibitors who had qualified through December 31, so exhibitors can begin submitting their entries. Competitors who qualified after December 31 will receive their invitations later, but will still have plenty of time to send their entries to AQHA by August 1.
