April showers bring May flowers but the month of April also
brings an abundance of fillies and colts being born. The April issue of GoMag not only features some of the very
best breeding and show horses, but newborn babies as well. Many of these young horses have
outstanding futures ahead of them and we look forward to following their
careers. It’s very appropriate that the cover features two great stallions, The Immortal and Invest In A Hot Star, with pictures of their offspring on the inside front cover.

About The Cover
Featured on the cover are Tom and Leslie Lange’s two stallions, The Immortal and Invest In A Hot Star.
The Immortal is a 2005 brown stallion sired by Invitation Only and out of World Champion and NSBA Hall of Fame mare, Zippo By Moonlight. The Immortal is an AQHA High Point Award winner with Superiors in three events whose babies are carrying on his success in the show pen. Good ToBe Immortal, owned by Sheri Kern, won over $80,000 in career earnings before she was four. The Lange’s purchased The Immortal from Kern who continues to breed to him. “I have four unbelievable two year olds by him, out of my best mares,” Kern told us.
According to Leslie Lange, “The Immortal’s foals are well made, good boned, beautiful babies that catch everyone’s eye with their slow and elegant movement and great temperament.”
Tom and Leslie were very familiar with Invest In A Hot Star when they purchased him from the Rita Crundwell sale in September.
“When I showed him for Rita, he was great minded and super talented, and we are excited that we had the opportunity to buy him,” says Leslie. “We thought he would be a good outcross. Since the Immortal is by Invitation Only and our breeders couldn’t breed their Invitation Only Mares to him, we thought Invest In A Hot Star would be a great addition to our breeding program.”
The 1999 chestnut stallion by Blazing Hot amassed over 500 points and is an AQHA Performance Champion as well as a two-time High Point Western Pleasure Champion.
Both The Immortal and Invest In A Hot Star are standing the 2013 breeding season at Vista Equine in Fort Collins, Colorado. Their breeding fee is just $1,000 and that includes the first shipment free.
You can see pictures of some of their incredible offspring and more information on the inside front cover page of this issue.
