Five year-old homozygous bay tobiano stallion, Whata Vested Asset (Shaq), is excited to be venturing into his first year as a breeding stallion. With a 100% percent color guarantee, the APHA and PtHA Reserve World Champion is a true all around horse. Standing at 16.1 hands, he has amassed points in the western pleasure, trail, western riding, and hunter under saddle. The gorgeous stallion was bred and raised by Michelle Johnston of Mansfield, Georgia.
“This distinguished gentleman has an ideal combination of talent, beauty, color genetics, and a pedigree to match,” says Johnston, who also shows him in the Novice Amateur events. “With over 100 points in various events, this talented stallion has consistent wins in both Open and Novice Amateur with very limited showing.”
Johnston adds, “Shaq has a great disposition and personality. He has been very trainable, and I fully expect him to pass along his looks, movement, and disposition onto his foals.”
The 2008 stallion comes from world class bloodlines. He is a son of He’s Got The Assets while his dam is a full sister to Gentlemen Send Roses–sire of multiple world and reserve world champions. His grand dam is multiple world champion, HF Runforthe Roses and grand sire is the famous AQHA Champion, The Big Investment.
Shaq will be standing to a limited book of mares in 2013. His breeding fee is $1,000 plus $250 for collection and shipping fees. His foals will be eligible for the APHA Breeders Trust.
The owner is also offering a $1,000.00 breeding incentive to the owner of the first world champion foal by Whata Vested Asset. Also, there are breeding discounts available for proven and multiple mares. In May, Shaq will be heading to Cooper Quarter Horses to collect semen that will be shipped to Europe and Australia.
“I have received a great response so far from the international horse community wanting to breed to Shaq, so I am excited to be offering frozen semen outside the United States,” Johnston states.

We will continue to update this list as the contracts come in. Thank you for everyone who believes in this young stallion.”
