“I spoke to Banks and he was very much his old self,” says Tina Price, who is a trainer and APHA judge who witnessed Banks riding at the Tunica show. “He knew everyone and was very excited to be there and to ride. Mike Hatchel coached him to sit up straight which brought a quick roll of the eyes from Banks. Obviously this is something he’s heard more than once. Banks thanked everyone for supporting and praying for him, then he said ‘I love you guys’ and thanked everyone again.
Price continues, “There was not a dry eye in the arena where over a hundred people had gathered to watch this ride. Future plans for Banks is to participate in a therapeutic riding program to help increase his strength. He just looked, sounded, and felt so good.”
Special Thanks to Tina for the picture, video and quotes about Banks!

The miracle we’ve anxiously awaited!
Our Deep South Zone 6 is proud to announce, Banks Ready, former American Junior Paint Horse Association
President who raised $100,000 for his Presidential Service Project
“Make A Wish,” is helping current AjPHA President, Colt Cumpton raise
funds for “Paint Our Country Proud.”
As many of you know,
Banks was severely injured last May as a result of an automobile
accident. Banks and the entire Ready Family have been moved by the
financial, emotional, and spiritual support our APHA family has provided
during the past nine months.
Banks decided to “pay it
forward.” Today, during the Zone 6 Show in Tunica, Mississippi, Banks
rode a Paint Horse for the first time since his accident and delivered a
monetary donation to 2012-2013 AjPHA President Colt Cumpton for his Project.
