The Dixie National Paint Horse Show that was held in Jackson, Mississippi this past weekend was a great success. The judges for the show were Kelly Boles Chapman, Clint Fullerton, Tracey Willis, and Floyd Danley. Banks Ready who was injured in a car accident last year also made his first horse show appearance at the event, and it was great to see him spending time with his friends.
“The show numbers were much larger than last year. With temperatures in the mid 60’s Saturday and Sunday, it made for one of the best Dixie Nationals weather wise I have ever been to!” says APHA trainer Blake Carney of Georgia. “The new consolidated schedule made time for everyone to get great points but still make it to dinner on Saturday and leave the show on Sunday night and be able to get home at a reasonable hour!”
