Highly successful all-around trainer, lris Petschenig, of Salzburg, Austria is happy to announce her move to California. She and her husband, Peter Petschenig, a Grand Prix level hunter-jumper trainer, are working out of Hillcrest Equestrian Center located in Chino Hills, California.
“l am currently accepting outside horses from western pleasure and hunter under saddle futurity horses to amateur and youth competitors,” says, multiple European Champion, lris Petschenig. “l am open to all disciplines including the highly popular, Ranch Pleasure. Due to the strict drug rules at horse shows in Europe, I have developed my training practices in favor of the health and longevity of my client’s horses in the show arena. Their soundness and welfare are my utmost priority, and I will also be the only one riding horses that will be under my care.”
ln Europe, Petschenig specialized in training all around and reining horses until she sold her ranch in 2009. Earlier in her training career, lris worked in the United States for White Diamond Ranch, Darren Stancik Reining Horses, Craig Johnson Reining Horses and Bobby Harrison Quarter Horses. When Petschenig trained in Europe, she worked for Prevedel Performance Horse located in Pordenone, ltaly for six months before she went out on her own and purchased Rosevalley Performance Horses in 2001. lris also holds her European AQHA and NRHA judges’ cards.
Owner of Hillcrest Equestrian Center, Geni Addicott, states, “We are thrilled to have lris and Peter bring their high level of training to our facility in Chino Hills, California. They follow in the footsteps of other great trainers I have been fortunate to have at my ranch over the last 25 years, such as Charlie Cole, Jason Martin, Vicky Holt, and Beth Case. lris and Peter are a welcome addition and bring new energy to our industry.”
