Capall Creek Farm (CCF) is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Liberty Santagata as resident trainer. CCF is owned by Kevin and Amy Smith which is located in Falmouth, Maine. The farm has been very active over the last couple years buying and selling quarter horses–most notably acquiring World and Congress Champion sire, Iron Enterprise, from the Rita Crundwell Sale. The farm is focused on breeding and sales, as well as showing on a national level.
“We are very excited to welcome Liberty Santagata to our program,” says owner of Capall Creek Farm, Amy Smith, along with her husband, Kevin. “We feel confident that her goals and those that we envision will be a wonderful fit.”
Santagata has trained multiple top ten Congress placers and World Show qualifiers as well as AQHA Championship and superior earners. When Liberty was younger, she showed cutting and all-around horses before turning professional at eighteen and going to work for Guy Stoops.
“I’m really excited to come on board as the trainer for CCF and start this new adventure as we merge Liberty Show Horses and Capall Creek into one,” says Liberty, who is originally from the East Coast. “Amy and Kevin have a grand vision for their training operation and what it will bring to the industry. They’ve created and started a great breeding program and obtained proven show horses and broodmares.”
Santagata continues, “Horses that come into my program are coming into just that, a program, where they are treated with respect, loyalty and honesty. They get the whole package, a trainer who manages the horse and rider, helps them accomplish their goals, works hard for them, and knows how to get the best out of their horse,” Liberty explains. “The farm also has an extensive lesson program and a welcoming inspiring atmosphere. My current clients are also very excited about this move, we’re all looking forward to becoming part of the CCF family and what it will contribute to the industry.”
Liberty specializes in western pleasure, hunter under saddle, all-around events, and futurity horses as well as accepting youth and amateur clients from novice to accomplished riders. CCF’s lesson program includes teaching individuals how to ride western, hunter jumper, and english as well as the ability for people to attend horse camps throughout the year.
Look out for the CCF group at all the major shows including the Tar Heel Classic, Congress and AQHA World Shows.
